It is a fictional book that takes place in modern time. basically theres this large group of people called shadowhunters, and their job is to hunt and kill demons. A girl named Clary turns out to be a shadowhunter but she never knew. She must join up with the other shadowhunters to help save her mom whos been taken hostage.
